This book focuses on a child dealing with a broken home and the joining of a new family through remarriage. When her mother remarries, eight-year-old Tracy has to get used to a new school and a new obnoxious stepbrother. This book is an excellent book to have in your in-class library, because so many children now come from different kinds of homes. Children are having to learn how to deal with new family situations due to divorce and remarriage, and this would be a great book to give a child who is struggling with adjusting to this new life style. I enjoyed this book and I think it is a great transition book as well. ( )
