This book was strange for me. The sentences were very difficult to understand event though the words were simple. It looked like it was written by the narrator. The boy has to protect his mom from a bear. He traps, tricks, and feeds the bear in order to do so. This is a great example of don't judge a book by its cover I thought this one looked good so I picked it up and I was not pleasantly surprised. ( )

Besides the roaring, not a great read aloud. A boy is trying to protect his mother from a bear. He makes a trap and then feeds the bear. ( )
