There is a lot of very good material here. Unfortunately it is difficult to find because of all the blah, blah around it. Nor does the repeated polemik against the Roman Catholic church help in understanding Matthew. I think this would be greatly improved if reduced to a quarter or less of its present length.

Even realizing that I may thereby miss some great insight, I have returned all three volumes to the library, and won't be reading the other two. ( )
