A treasure of practical wisdom for anyone on a path to wholeness. The author gives us the essence of the sacred teachings of tribal peoples and makes them directly relevant to how we understand and act our lives.

I found this book an interesting overview of ritual in indigenous cultures, especially as it relates to focusing attention on specific situations and aspects of life.

It's also intended to be used in a very "hands on" way: adapting the various ritual elements (drumming, chanting, singing, silent reflection, etc.) into your own practices as you find they best fit. Can't say I've gone that route much myself, but it seems pretty hands-on if that's what you're looking for.
