Book description
Published in the year following the World's Columbian Exposition (or Chicago World's Fair of 1893), this portfolio contains hundreds of large (10'' by 8'') black and white photographs documenting the architecture and exhibits that made the 1893 fair so exceptional. Each photograph is accompanied by text, explaining the function and design of the featured buildings, describing the featured scientific and cultural exhibits, or providing brief introductions to the history and culture of the various featured people.
