I was given the first four volumes of Rin-ne with the caveat " They're Rumiko Takahashi comics. If you want more of the same Rumiko Takahashi, you'll probably like them." Which was fairly accurate - I came in to manga with Ranma 1/2 and Maison Ikkoku, and Rin-ne really does feel like just getting more of that. Which makes me happy, because I didn't read Saiyuki and haven't gone back to the older stuff for years, so I was ready for more. But it is definitely just another Rumiko Takahashi manga. In Volume Two, there's a longer storyline for the first time, in which we meet Rin-Ne's 'nemesis' and get our first glimspe of Hell. I quite like the hell here, and the relationships are starting to be interesting. no reviews | add a review

The black cat is wonderful character, he is going to be a favourite of mine.
The story involving the demon was over the top, and the author is absolutely brilliant at comedic timing.
"Is he just stupid? Or is it a trap?
"With him, it's fifty-fifty."
I am looking forward to the next volume. ( )
