The author seems to ignore the planetary lineup of 1982 & 82 (and since the outer planets move so slowly, ever 6 or 7 years since then.)
After this book came out we discovered how hot Venus was, and the idea of Global warming was invented, then supplanted the theory of Global Cooling since we are overdue to start sliding back into one. (
