What a strange novel. I found this, I think, at a book sale and it seemed so odd I picked it up. It seems to be part of a series of books with movie stars as the main character in mystery/thriller/adventure tales. This one was a bit of a convoluted mess where the bad guys are bad and our hero must save the day but I really never quite got what was happening except that the plot must move on. So strange I almost feel like collecting more of the series! I also just love that is was printed during WWII so it has an add to Buy War Bonds and an admonishment to Save Grease printed on the fly leaf.
