The book is well suited for elementary level students. The book is no nonsense and shows full color pictures of the trees. There is a map at the beginning of the book, color coated to display what states are in what part of the country (for example: Indiana is in the Midwest). Each tree is listed with facts about its foliage, when is blooms, how tall it gets, and other general information on it. One thing this book does not have is the scientific names listed. Because of this, this book would be a poor research book. It is an informative book and would be great for a younger student, but only to get the student interested in the subject material to be moved up to more informative reads.
