Rhyolite is a story written with a rhythmic pattern. It brings the readers into what seems like a fast forwarded time period. We see the before, during, and after of this town through poetry. It is fun to hear the story in rhyme and could help children learn more about end rhymes. ( )

Sing-song text, long for a picture-book, woodcuts not really my cup of tea.  However, perfect for social studies classes and homeschoolers, esp. in Nevada.  ( )
