My very first book purchase from my junior high school English class book club (1973) introduced me to true-life mysteries such as Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, and the Bermuda Triangle, to name a few. The book is well-written and easy to read, though it is intended for younger students. This book sparked my interest in monsters and legends, which continues to this day through documentaries and further readings.

There are one or two interesting stories in here, like the guy that climbed the Twin Towers, but most of them are either boring (facts about sharks, blah blah) or way too commonly known (King Tut's Curse). Nothing that kept my interest.
10 stories of unusual event, but not scary
