Traci Warkentin

Traci Warkentin’s interdisciplinary research interests in the ethical, educational, and cognitive dimensions of whale-human encounters in captive environments were largely inspired by her experiences working at the Vancouver Aquarium during her undergraduate studies. She has a B.Sc. in Honours Biology from UBC, an M.A. in Values and the Environment from Lancaster University, and has recently completed her Ph.D. in the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University. Traci is currently teaching and advising in Environmental Studies at York University, where she is an adjunct faculty member.
