Remember when your mom used to tell you "If something seems too good to be true then it is"? Well, she was right :D

When Evan Buckley gets an invitation for a ‘free all-expense paid weekend” to a very posh mountain resort in upstate New York, you can bet he wasn't expecting to be held hostage for a bunch of men running after a butched robbery.

Action, suspense, and of course, lots of sarcasm make this a book worth your time.

I received an ARC [Advanced Readers Copy] of the book and I'm so show more happy I did! show less
With a great storyline and characters that will call at you, this is the kind of book you want to grab when you are in sheer need of a heart-stopping thriller.

Mr Harper has the very scarce ability to create characters with depth and all the greys of real people, and his plot is perfectly done. This is my first book by the author, and let me tell you this. I WILL check the previous ones in this series.
This is a fascinating story. We follow the protagonist, a drunk, self-centred, disgusting man through his ineffective, feeble struggles, trying to escape the consequences of his acts.

A short, compelling story that will keep your interest until the surprising end.
Clare Henderson approaches Evan Buckley to investigate the death of her sister Jessica. The police are convinced it was suicide, that she fell out of the window of her 15th floor apartment. She doesn't believe that her sister would commit suicide.
An enjoyable well-written short story
