The story had a a fantasy/magical element to it. I liked the circus train aspect of it. The illustrations are very pretty, though I can't imagine the clowns would normally travel in full, colorful performance dress and makeup.
This is a book a circus train that winds up on the wrong set of train tracks and goes through this town where Timothy lives. The train tracks are broken and the circus train cannot go backwards. So Timothy and his dog curly get the elephants to blow up the train cars and then get the guy who launches himself the launch the balloon like train cars in the air and Timothy becomes there hero. I can ask if anybody has been to the circus and ask them to describe it to me, like the different show more animals and types of acts they saw. show less
