I'm not normally a fan of westerns, but picked this audio book for a fun escape. The story was not extremely memorable, but it was enjoyable and kept my interest, and deserves at least a good, solid 3.5 stars.
The doctors told him he had only a few months to live and there was nothing they could do. But death wasn't what scared T.J. Littlejohn; he had a wife and three children, and nothing to leave them but a tiny slice of East Texas prairie and a handful of cows. He needed money and he needed it fast. A wanted poster in the sheriff's office gave him the answer - he became a bounty hunter.
FROM AMAZON: In the early 1870's, the young state of Texas was struggling to survive. Its vast, undeveloped land of over 260 thousand square miles became a haven for the lawless. Murderers, rustlers and renegade bands of hostile Indians and Comanchero roamed the vast wastelands of west Texas with only a narrow river separating them from the sanctuary of Mexico. One group of dedicated lawmen stood between this element and the law-abiding citizenry - the Texas Rangers. This is the story of one show more of those men. Shawgo - Texas Ranger. show less
