Reviews
I looked forward to reading this book about Mr. Bell and enjoyed it. I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times when I was young and his kindness made an impression on me. He took out time to talk with my mother and I about his learning the game as a youngster growing up in Mississippi. In the book, sports journalist, Bob Broeg is credited with saying, “Cool Papa Bell was a noble man, an elegant man”. That is certainly what I remember about him and it comes through in this show more wonderful book. :-) show less
