I liked the descriptions of the seven year phase in human life. After studying the book 'Phases' by Bernard Lievegoed, this is a nice illustration of how it all works in real life. Even though I understand that Betty Staley wanted to weave the life stories of her twelve subjects into the chapter about the age in which they had certain experiences, it sometimes got confusing and hard to follow. Nevertheless I enjoyed the book. Somehow I thing that from the age 35 on I did every phase about show more seven years later then I am supposed to. I had my first child then, and stopped working to be with the baby. Starting a family later may be part of modern life. This book was published in 1997, when my son was five. A lot has changed since then. show less
