Edwin Sánchez is an award-winning Puerto Rican-born playwright and educator based in New York City. A graduate of the Yale School of Drama, his work frequently explores queer Latinx identities, urban family dynamics, and unconventional love. He is a multiple-time recipient of the National Latino Playwrights Award (most recently in 2025 for Lottery Boy) and currently teaches at Wesleyan University.
