The book has two objectives: one educational and one scholarly. It is subdivided in to six parts: the Nature of Theory in Landscape Architecture; Design Process; Form, Meaning, and Experience; Society, Language, and the Representation of Landscape; Ecological Design and the Aesthetics of Sustainability; Integrating Site, Place and Region. Part 3 and 5 are still good for documentation, reflexion and history but not very useful in designclass anymore.
