This story of chicken little seeing the sky falling but actually an acorn falling on his tail. I know see what the movie was created from this folktale. It seems very old but i never knew it existed. I feel it has a great lesson for young children to not spread rumors without all the facts or information. We all know that kids love to tell on each other over the simplest things so this can be a lesson on self control or spending rumors is invalid and causes trouble.
I like this book because it reminds me of The Three Little Pigs. In the story, there are three Billy goats, a baby, the middle goat and the biggest goat. As the goats go down the hill and cross the bridge, the troll the lives under the bridges tires to eat them. The first two goats out smart the troll by saying a bigger, tastier goat is coming. And the bigger, tastier goat rams the troll into the water and they walk along.
I give this book a four star rating because I think the story line show more is cute and it is repetitive so readers can feel like they can read along. This book could be used as a lesson to teach children how to get out of tough situations and use their brain to over come obstacles. show less
