this book is shelved in humor. that is true, yes, but it is also a lie. the alternative shelving is philosophy. so funny. so true. it makes you want to cry- then buy a wardrobe of muu-muus and start your retirement migrations. i keep extra copies on hand to give as presents. if you receive one, i expect to grow old with you. great quotes, and not just the obvious oscar wilde stuff.
A quick, enjoyable read. The illustrations gave the book a textured feel too. While it was mostly fluff, it did make me think about the concept of hedonism.
It was cute, but nothing groundbreaking. Stop and smell the roses, right? Be here now. Lie in till noon. All good advice, fun to revisit, but nothing you don't already know.
Interesting book. Have not yet finished; many chapters don't apply. The overall premise of enjoying yourself without guilt is very good. Not about neglectiing others or shirking duties, but how to keep yourself in the moment.
