This story drew me in from the first page. Tess is trying her best, working two jobs, to pay restitution to those she wronged. The only soul who doesn't hold her past against her is Uncle Stu. The rest of the people in town--including her parents and her brother--treat her with disdain. And then there's Josh. The love between them is never in question, but he's a pastor and nobody believes Tess could ever be a pastor's wife--including Tess. Packed with emotion and a relevant message, this show more one's a keeper. show less
Hattie is devoted to helping other women but she needs more money to continue funding Life House. She is so focused on her task, she doesn't even consider her own needs. But then Finn comes along. He is taken with Hattie from the moment he sets eyes on her. She knows he's a famous musician and figures he'll be gone before long. Finn does his best to convince her how serious he is. He even writes songs for her. But she has trust issues--especially with men. Finn isn't about to give up though show more and goes all out to convince her of his intent. I really enjoyed this sweet, delightful romance. show less
A sweet story about the two people who should be most unlikely to ever meet. Both of them keep their deep, dark secrets well-hidden and both don't know what to do with the tenderness they feel for each other--except to continue going along on their own individual, lonely paths. I enjoyed the delightful cast of secondary characters who put so much effort in getting Robby and Daisy to realize their mistakes. This charming tale is well worth reading and highly recommended.
