Ik las het boek begin 2019, dus zo'n 22 jaar na publicatie, wat de waarde van de informatie die ten toon wordt gespreid niet minder belangrijk maakt. Het doornemen kost echter wat moeite maar je krijgt wel een beeld van de wetenschappers en de evolutie van de wetenschap die vorm gaven aan ons huidige (westerse) wereldbeeld gedurende de voorbije 500 jaar.
