Geof Smith’s Star Wars: A New Hope adapts George Lucas’s 1977 film for the Little Golden Book series intended for readers between the ages of 2 and 5. The artists, Caleb Muerer and Micky Rose, has provided the art for all of the Little Golden Books Star Wars adaptations, from the Original Trilogy, through the Prequels, and now the Sequel Trilogy, offering a stylistic continuity to these books. The story faithfully adapts the main beats of the original Star Wars with art and descriptions show more that any parent can easily read and show their child. Some words, like “disguise,” will also help parents to develop their children’s reading and language comprehension. This book is a great way for nerdy parents to introduce their younglings to the mysteries of the Force. show less

Absolutely LOVED this adorable book! It's a sanitized version of the movie, as the shark "plays" with the people and gets tired at the end and swims away. The chief still believes that they'll need a bigger boat, but that's just the opposite of what they have currently!
Seriously, as a lifetime mega JAWS fan, this book just made me smile and smile and smile!
And the last picture is awesome!

Da-Dum!!! Da-Dum!!! Da-Dum!!!
Written toward the end of U.S. involvement in Vietnam, the theme of resistance to imperial powers is probably directed more toward current events than toward the stated historical period of 14th century China and its absorption into its own empire of the land that became Vietnam. The illustrations captivate and set the mood well.
This is exactly what it sounds like it is and what you'd be expecting: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, told as a Little Golden Book, complete with retro illustrations and everything the makes a Little Golden Book what it is. I bought this simply for the adorable factor, and you can bet I'll be picking up the rest of them.

This would be perfect for both young and old Star Wars fans, as I'm fairly certain these were created just as much for the adult fan as it was for the younger fan.
