Penny Lord

Advisory: This book surveys historical visionaries, mystics, and stigmatists. While the author is not a Catholic theologian, it offers an interesting overview of mystical experiences throughout Christian history. Parishioners should approach it as popular devotional reading rather than formal Church teaching.

While they mean well, and their subjects are thoroughly researched, authors Bob and Penny Lord should choose careers other than writing. Their sentence structure and vocabulary are poor. Their casual, chatty style of composition is very distracting and hardly appropriate for the serious subjects they attempt to tackle. Readers of their works could spend their time more wisely on books of the same subjects by other authors.
