Instead of turning your ex into a toad or casting misfortune upon your boss, focus on the good in life with this wonderfully illustrated collection of easy-to-follow traditional spells of the Romany people--also known as Gypsies--for good luck, love, health, and wealth.
The world's most popular fortune-telling techniques--crystal ball divination, tarot card reading, and palmistry--originated with the Gypsies, the supreme practitioners of divination and the mystic arts. This bewitching show more collection of their love charms and other "white magic" takes the form of a well-worn spellbook, filled with ancient Gypsy lore, and illustrated with previous owners' handwritten notes and mysterious keepsakes tucked between the pages. Many of these time-honored spells--to encourage good luck, to bring a lover closer, and there's even one to heal sick pets--have been passed down through generations, and all are easy to follow and use everyday ingredients such as candles, flowers, and ribbons.

A delight to the eye, this lavish collection will both entertain and enlighten, and will bring love and luck to all those who believe.

I really enjoyed this book. The spells are all Romany, some dating as far back as the 1600's. Personally, I've always been fascinated by the Gypsies and Gilliam Kemp's series on their spells is just amazing.

I found the spells fairly simple. I don't even the most thrifty of witches having a problem obtaining the small amount of things needed throughout the book. Some of the spells don't require anything other a candle, a campfire, paper, or a bay leaf.

This book has a collection of spells for show more just about any purpose. From love spells, to spells to get rid of an old lover, even spells to make siblings get along, spells for weather, home protections, and even your pets!

I recommend this book to any witch who interested in simple spell casting. While some spells have to be cast repeated over several days, they are still easy to follow and an asset to any spell book collection.

I give this book 4 of 5 paws

This is a reliable deck and sturdy. I love the scrapbook look of each card, although it may be a bit simple. The background is completely white, and the text is solid back. A simple tree sits on a cloud in the middle of the image, where the title and keyword sit underneath. Above is a cute poem, with its lines wiggly like a worm. In the four corners is the leaf, seed, or fruit unique to the tree. You can see reversals with the backs, but I don't think you'll use them with this set. The show more booklet includes many different spreads, and underneath each entry is a simple explanation of what the tree is about. I recommended it to anyone open to using it. show less
I paid $5.99 for this at Barnes & Noble. The cards are um.... not too terribly cute or attractive. But, I'm a sucker for anything that says it has cards. The Love Spells inside are shocking and not at all recommended. Want to make a man fall in love with you??? Clip a lock of his hair while he's sleeping! It's bad karma in a box!
