Did you ever wonder when the world was going to end? How it was going to end? Why?
Apparently the answers, according to this book, are:
soon
by colliding with Mars, and
because you aren't practicing Scientific Chastity.
I'm still not entirely certain what Scientific Chastity is, but apparently we really need to get on it before the sea monsters, nourished by nuclear waste in the ocean, become Nuclear Creatures and begin eating us all.

Ah, the free books that “authors” send to libraries… This was mailed to my workplace (school library) and upon reading the back cover, I immediately snagged it to take home. The entertainment value is off the charts, but it’s obviously complete drivel. This could actually be great to use in a unit on misinformation, disinformation, and reliable sources!
Hercolubus or Red Planet by V.M. Rabolu unfolds his perspective regarding the destruction of the human race.
The author claims that he visits Venus and Mars through his astral (subtle) body. He describes how people live there and how they are different from us. The way American government feeds us lies and no one wants to connect with the supreme Mother or Father.
I don't know if the author truly experiences the journey to other planets, but I do believe in astral projection and know that is show more not impossible. With the help of the right techniques, one can explore other places without moving physically. V.M. Rabolu talks about the connection of dreams with one's astral journey. This book gives readers a new perspective, but to believe the content or not is your choice. The language is lucid, and it's a fast-paced read. I recommend it.

Copies are still free by mail for those interested in such things. My wife has voiced her concern at the number of strange mailing lists I tend to get on, and it's also avaiable online, but my life would be significantly less livable if I didn't jump at such offers. Mine came in an envelope with a Spanish return address and a Canadian postmark.
I was surprised that the book wasn't merely a description of how we're going to get smacked by a comet and all die. You see, V.M. Rabolú predicted show more before the turn of the millennium that Hercolubus the Red Planet is going to come dangerously close to earth. When it does, we shall most likely all die, apparently from various causes including plagues. This is due to our own perversity. It turns out Hercolubus, like Mars and Venus, has intelligent life who will kill us all if we try to destroy it. We just need to practice Gnosis (which apparently involves mostly meditating and using mantras) and then we'll be saved -- it's not clear by what. Rabolú tells us the Martians and Venusians control their bodies and even their lifespans with Gnosis, and Rabolú claims he himself has mastered Gnosis to an amazing degree. Nevertheless, we're told in a preface that he was in great pain while writing the book and died not long afterwards.
My brother (who also told me about the free book) tells me Rabolú was something of a successor to Samael_Aun_Weor. The book doesn't seem to be meant for advertising any particular sect -- it's hard to even find out about any movement which is behind this free book deal, and there don't seem to be Rabolú reading or meditation groups about. In any event, it's an interesting oddity to put on my shelf at someone else's expense. show less
