Candace covers history (there have been sets of tablets with weaving on them found in ancient Egypian tombs and Norse bogs), practical setup, and onward into advanced techniques. There was an edition that came with a starter-pack of cards back in the day; these days go look on ebay or google up the TWIST gang of tablet weaving afficionados for cards, which are show more plentiful and cheap (or make a set from a new pack of squared off playing cards).
