He is a hike coordinator for the Hawaiian Trail and Mountain Club and is author of Native Paths and Volunteer Trails: Hiking and Trail Building on O'ahu, The Backpackers Guide to Hawai'i, and The Hikers Guide to the show more Hawaiian Islands.
