THE MAHATMA LETTERS

These letters, first published in 1923,
were written between the years 1880 and
1884 to A. P. Sinnett of Allahabad, editor
of The Pioneer, the then leading newspaper
of British India, by two Mahatmas
whom H. P. Blavatsky had acknowledged
as her teachers and the inspirers of her
Isis Unveiled and The Secret Doctrine.
The original manuscripts, signed by the
initials M. and K. H., are now housed in
the British Museum.

Treating in detail of cosmology and the
life and development of the show more human race
these unusual communications reveal not
only far-reaching concepts of religious
and scientific thought (since proven in
large degree prophetic); but also deep
practicality, a warmth of heart and
ripeness of humor. Many existing but
fictitious ideas created by the fanciful
imagination of would-be occultists are
exploded by the very sound and human
approach to natural law; and serious thinkers
not content with orthodoxy will find a more
satisfying explanation of the foundation
truths underlying the great religions.
