I absolutely adored Love You Later! Julie Christianson took marriage of convenience and friends to more and knocked it out of the park. Talk about swoon! This is the yearning, sweet kisses, protective hero story I’ve been waiting for!

Bridger Adams is the Batman/Superman combo I didn’t know I needed. He’s thoughtful, infinitely kind, & appears to be a humble science teacher, but is secretly a wealthy, powerful philanthropist. To secure his trust fund and continue his pet projects, he show more has to marry by his 30th birthday, and his controlling mother already has a bride in mind. But Bridger’s secretly in love with his fellow teacher & best friend, Loren Cane. He longs for more, but after her disastrous engagement, Loren isn’t interested in a relationship.

Loren Cane’s a sweet, nurturing English teacher and I just loved her! As her father’s degenerative dementia progresses, she struggles to provide the care he needs. When her summer teaching job falls through, she has no idea how she’ll afford his PT & other expenses. It’s Bridger to the rescue! When he reveals his tightly held secret of being a real life Bruce Wayne and that he has to marry in a few weeks or lose his trust fund, she devises a marriage of convenience plan that’ll benefit them both… if they can keep feelings from developing.

This story completely grabbed my heart. The longing is palpable! Bridger & Loren jump through so many hoops to convince his mother their marriage is real, and I loved every close-proximity, yearning-filled moment where Bridger has to keep himself in check. Loren isn’t far behind. I especially loved how her trust grows as she sees all the ways Bridger loves and cares for her and her father.

I adored the delightful humor and friendship between Loren & Bridger and their best friends, Sayla & Dex. I was laughing so hard at the wedding they pulled off. Their found-family dynamic is so sweet, and I loved all the ways they supported each other. The humorous moments are beautifully woven in with tender threads of loss, abandonment, and a difficult mother/son relationship.

Highly recommend to closed door romcom fans! Can’t wait for the next book. This book can be read as a standalone, but recommend reading the books in order to avoid spoilers. I received an advanced copy with no expectation of a positive review. All opinions are completely my own & provided voluntarily.

“Happiness is a choice.”

Hate You, Maybe was a favorite read this year & listening to the audiobook took it to a whole new level! With two fantastic narrators & duet narration, this swoony romcom became even swoonier! Julie Christianson delivers a heartfelt, romantic, touching, enemies to friends to more workplace romance that checks all the boxes! Sayla & Dex are a couple to cheer for. They’re both teachers who’re dedicated to their students & departments. Their competition for the show more same grant puts them at odds, but a professional workplace retreat changes everything.

I absolutely loved this heartwarming, swoony romcom! Not only is it a sizzling, closed door, enemies to lovers romance with delightful banter, bubbling undercurrents of attraction, & passionate kisses, but it’s also a touching story with a lot of character growth & depth enhanced by these talented narrators. Sayla & Dex both have difficult things in their pasts which distort their perceptions of the future. Sayla was uprooted frequently as a kid with a mom who was constantly in & out of relationships. Her walls seem unscalable. Dexter experienced a terrible loss which prevents him from having a permanent relationship. Though they start out as workplace rivals, as they get to know each other, the attraction they’ve been pushing down becomes undeniable.

I loved Sayla & Dex finally seeing each other in a whole new light. At first, Sayla feels like Dex is the enemy, & resents the Athletic Director who threatens to take a much needed grant from her Drama Department. When they attend the retreat together & are forced to share a cabin, they begin to see all each others’ amazing qualities. There were so many laugh out loud moments as they have a secret fake relationship which seems a little too real, team building activities, & several fawning camp attendees who bring out the jealousy in both of them. I loved how they’re forced to take on each other’s roles & learn to appreciate each other’s skills. I loved the growth they experience & watching their love bloom.

Highly recommend! While this has ties to Faking the Fall, it’s easily read as a standalone. I received an advanced listener copy with no expectation of a positive review. All opinions are completely my own & provided voluntarily.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, what’s my new favorite in the Only Magic in the Building series? It’s Off the Wall! Sorry, couldn’t resist. This book is seriously the best! This whole series is amazing, & Julie Christianson takes it to a whole new level. With the whimsical Serendipity up to its old tricks, an adorable, accident prone heroine in need of cash (wink, wink), & an ex-baseball player focused on work find the building has other plans for these neighbors. A magic mirror shows Nori show more the possibilities, & she can’t look away.

Eleanor “Nori” Sinclair’s approaching 30 & wants to find love. She also dreams of owning the Serendipi-Tea shop she currently manages. While her dating leaves a lot to be desired, she’s definitely avoiding the handsome guy in scrubs who’s always in a hurry. But, The Serendipity sees their potential & suddenly Nori constantly finds herself in awkward situations being rescued by him. She needs $10,000 to buy her beloved tea shop & when the dating app Swipe Rite gives her an offer she can’t refuse, she agrees to date 10 different men & chronicle her experiences. The only catch, she can’t date other men while working for Swipe Rite. As her dates fizzle, her mirror shows her the possibilities with Cash & it becomes harder to resist him.

Cash Briggs had a promising baseball career until he was critically injured. Now he’s on a mission to help others as a medical device rep. Though he’s frequently rushing off to surgeries, he can’t help noticing his beautiful neighbor. While she doesn’t give him the time of day, he keeps meeting her in the most bizarre situations & can’t stop thinking about her. But, he’s skittish & has his sites set on L.A. Even if it’s impossible to ignore Nori, his job doesn’t give him time for a relationship.

I LOVED this book! The humor, warmth, & swoon-worthy romance grabbed me from the first. Both characters had past issues to overcome & I enjoyed how they grew together. Nori’s so relatable & down to earth. Cash falls hard & I loved how he’s always saving her. The 10 dates had me laughing especially when it grates on Cash to know she’s dating others.

Highest of recommendations for this must read romcom! Though this is part of the Only Magic in the Building series, each book is easily read as a standalone. I received an advanced copy from the author, but also purchased a copy through Kindle Unlimited. All opinions are completely my own & provided voluntarily.

This has to be an all time favorite Julie Christianson romcom! I loved returning to Abieville for Olivia’s story. From the first, this book had me laughing out loud in what started out as a harmless dare. I fell in love with both Olivia & Hudson and couldn’t put it down. Their story is a favorite and had me laughing, swooning, & sighing in satisfaction wishing the story could continue after I turned the last page.

As a triplet, Olivia “Liv” feels like she’s unseen. She’s show more determined to be successful like her other siblings. When she finds herself jobless, she returns home to Abieville where she learns of an opening for a manager position at the Beachfront Inn. Unfortunately, the guy who rejected her two years ago has been hired for the position. He offers her a temporary job, and as they work close together, their feelings grow, but what happens when the month is up?

I loved Liv & Hudson! I loved their character arcs. Both Liv & Hudson are leery of relationships for various reasons. They’re both thoughtful, kind people who just needed to find the right person. I loved seeing them grow in their relationship. I enjoyed Liv recognizing her abilities and feeling seen, especially by Hudson.

Hudson’s just the cutest guy! I loved the way he cares for Liv. He’s willing to read Brontë! He’s so surprised by anyone doing something nice for him because he’s used to being used. I loved how he became more confident in love and willing to sacrifice for it. These two are just perfect for each other and I loved watching them be playful, supportive, and romantic.

Not only are there funny, laugh out loud moments, but there’s a sweet story of overcoming past hurts, abandonment and pain. It’s a heartfelt, swoony romcom that’s a must read if you enjoy closed door romances. Though part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. However, it’s so much more enjoyable seeing beloved characters from other books like Link & Hadley, Tess, Nat & Brady, Big Mama, and others. Now I can’t wait for Darby’s story. I received an advanced complimentary copy from the author. All opinions are my own and voluntarily provided.
