I'm fat, so a size 14 vampire heroine who has more than one handsome, sexy vampire man wanting her generously-curved body is fine by me. Gloriana's long-term honey, Blade, is off in Europe to try to get the vampire who might be his biological daughter out of bad company. It's New Year's Eve, and the lady with the ample hourglass figure who can't change her weight by dieting or eat Real Food is dateless. Israel "Ray" Caine, rock star and the new vampire she's mentoring, is happy to change her show more status. Sadly, their boat ride on the lake lands them in the clutches of Aglaophonos (call her "Aggie"), a siren in Big Trouble. To get out of it, she needs to give the goddess Circe three vampires, preferably male. The siren is a sucker for a great singing voice. Ray demonstrates his. Aggie doesn't want to send that voice to Circe, but she has a deadline. If Ray and Glory don't want to go to hell, they need to supply Aggie with three male vampires. Aggie's siren's call has been cursed, but she can force Ray and Glory to come to her whenever she wants. The good news is that there are more than three hot male vampires deserving Circe's less-than-tender mercies in Austin. The bad news is that our good vamps may not be able to get them to Aggie in time.

Meanwhile, Glory's fake romance with Ray that provides the excuse for her to be around to mentor him has to appear to have turned up the heat for one of their traps to work. Westwood the Vampire Hunter is after Glory again. There's a Ray Craine stalker who wants Glory out of the picture as much as Westwood does. Her plan to get to Glory through Valdez would have the SPCA down on her like a ton of bricks. She's messing with the wrong vampire's shape-shifter in dog form. I share my life with a cat and two dogs, so I thoroughly enjoyed the stalker's fate.

If that's not enough, there's a visit to the Energy Vampires' compound, a Blade and Ray confrontation, tabloid trash talk, Blade's possible-daughter's bad company, and trouble for Glory's best friend's brother. In short, it's a fun read.

This book was so funny. I fell in love with the main character Glorianna St. Claire immediately ! She is a real sized woman, who is sassy, snarky, clumsy, independent and a 400 year old vampire that could pass for a college gal. She finds herself in some crazy situations with her talking labradoodle bodyguard and a hunky Scottish man friend.
This story was hard to put put down. Lively, fast paced, and full of colorful personalities. It wasn't just crazy vampires running around Texas in this show more tale. The curves in the book left me smiling and laughing out loud.
Can't wait to see what the next adventure will be.

Wow! Glory is growing up to be a force to be reckoned with. She's been the tender hearted, kick butt, independent woman, but now having saved a human and turning Lucky... Glory has found her inner vampire strength and is even more impressive on this book. Of course now we have another hot male, new vampire to boot, that she gets to babysit. The laughs are great. The intensity of this book really thickened and the story seemed to develop much deeper than the other two. Real relationships show more cemented, esp. for Flo, and histories began to unfold.
This book has become my favorite, yet I was disappointed in the behaviors of some of the people. The dark sides exposed. But I can't wait to see what will come in the future books.

Glory has been through it all with Blade, hundreds of years and they are still together, nothing can tear them apart, right? No, a new and very painful change stabs pain at more than these two. Many hearts break in this novel, many truths are finally told. The Ev are still after Glory, and someone truly awful comes back from the dead. Rafe/Val the shifter is main part of this story and we get o learn about him and some of his past.
I loved this book I cried, laughed and cheered throughout it.
