Short biography
Hurt's second album on Vanguard Records, released posthumously.

4/4 (Great).

There are some filler tracks, and his voice is starting to go (there's a lot of lisping and slurring). Otherwise, it's more of the same, which is fine by me.
½
Hurt's last studio recordings for Vanguard Records, from 1966.

3/4 (Good).

It feels more like a collection of outtakes and demos than an album.
½
Hurt's first album on Vanguard Records.

5/4 (One of my favorites).

His voice has grown some rasp, and his picking is a little mellower, but otherwise he picks up right where he left off in 1928.
