This is an excellent book for those on the Macrobiotic Diet. Simple healing methods that work, time and time again. I have used this book religiously and found relief from sore feet, chest pains, and the ideas in here help with weight loss as well. Michio Kushi certainly knows his stuff.

Some of the remedies are not well explained, so if you have no background on Macrobiotic remedies, you may find yourself not understanding all of the recipes in here. On more than one occasion, I found show more recipes that didn't have exact measurements for ingredients. But, for the most part, Macrobiotic Home Remedies is a godsend for quick, easy healing preparations, from excessive bleeding to headache remedies.

This amazing little book is filled to capacity with many insights into our health. By looking at the eyes and how they appear, the hands and which way the fingers tend to curve, all gives you answers as to what condition your body is in. This book is a must have for those macrobiotic counselors who read the body and what it's telling them about a patients health. I found this book to be helpful, easy to understand and diagnose from in my practice of holistic healing.
Simple exercises to do if you are on the macrobiotic diet. Cleansing the skin, and a series of tapping your body to awaken the "chi" within it is amazing! By lightly hitting your feet, legs torso and then the head, arms and chest, you awaken your body. It really does tingle when you're through. An excellent book to make you feel alive and well. This, along with the practice of deep breathing and gentle exercise helps to restore the body to balance.
I was looking for a simple way to explain me the Macrobiotic way of living and Michio Kushi won my choice. Mr Kushi keeps his lines very easy to follow him and the book also includes simple but delicious recipes. After having completed this reading, I went food shopping. All his theories makes sense to me.
