A standard text for museum conservation. This is the shorter 1st edition (couldn't afford the much
more expensive 2nd edition), but it serves my needs.
This is a specialist, 'hard science' book, aimed at museum 'professionals'. It is however
accessible non-scientists and is extremely interesting (if you are interested in that sort
of thing).
Serious antique collectors should find this book helpful and useful as they worry about
how or whether to undertake any sort of conservation/restoration work show more on their collections. show less
