Since I am far from youth and have studied quite a bit, I found most of this very simplified. I do think it would be good for youth either for a new believer or as a refresher for an established believer. I didn't like that most scriptures were only referenced and not printed within the pages, requiring me to have two books open when I wanted to do this study. I also noticed that the answers the book wanted usually came in the paragraph right after the question (which makes it really easy to show more "cheat" and not read the scriptures that are referenced, but is also helpful when you can't figure out what the authors were going for in a particular section. show less

This book is super helpful for laying the foundation for growing as a Christian. It encourages you to study the Scriptures more, to grow your relationship with Christ through prayer and studying the Scriptures, and to share your salvation with others by praying for them and sharing your testimony with them. It also has you memorize a verse each week, teaching you to fight against temptation through memorizing and reciting the Scriptures.
