Very simple words but nice pictures; two chikdren sail around the world in a yacht, meeting otter children in Scotland. Norway, Holland, France, China, and Hawaii. There is a mix of premodern and modern cultures --the children's ship looks 18th century, but they meet the liner Queen Mary when leaving the US; then Viking-style ships in Norway and 17th century Dutch ships off Holland. The children in all the countries wear colorful traditional clothing It may be noted that the countries and show more heavily European and Africa, the Middle East and India are omitted, though theoretically they must have been passed when going from Europe to China. show less
