NCLA Review - “Have you got a nickel for a roll?” the starving child asked the author as he headed back to his hotel after preaching in Haiti. One child who hungered for a roll while wheat rotted in silos in Oklahoma was the beginning of the Feed the Children Organization. Larry Jones found a way to get surplus wheat to Haiti, and then kept walking until his organization was feeding the starving around the world. He not only founded the organization, he guided its growth, visited some of show more the worst places on earth, such as Ethiopia, Nairobi, Bosnia, Oklahoma City, Katrina land, the twin towers of 9/11, wherever people were hurting. He waded right into the worst nightmares to feed, to clothe, and to provide supplies. The tales he tells are inspiring, amazing, and heartwarming. A read to remember. Rating: 4—EB show less
