Reviews
I have many arguments with Beck's whole philosophy of performance. Too Dionysian, not enough rigorous thinking. At heart, I am heartily in favor of the fourth wall & do not want to be assaulted or compelled to do anything in the theatre. While good theatre can eloquently protest social conditions, I'm not sure the function of theatre is in-the-streets social protest. Theatre should be, perhaps, a more cool-headed and considered social medium?
