Translated from French, this is the story of Bob the Postman who just happens to have a route through space. No biggie. However, as the book opens Bob's tried and true routine is upended and he is given a new itinerary. Things don't go quite to plan.
Such a fun little graphic novel. I really loved the illustration style which was colorful and which spanned the book in full page spreads. I definitely got vibes like Tom Gauld's Moon Cop (definitely a compliment). If you're looking for something show more of a book palate cleanser this is an excellent choice. show less

Overall, this was a great little story. It was a quick read and it was very simple, but I found it a lot of fun. I rather enjoyed the Le Petit Prince cameo that appears in the story as well haha. This is a science fiction story that I read for my graduate school graphic novels course. It has a great message that it’s important to look around you, try things that are new, and you might find yourself happier than you thought you would be.
Pretty charming. A message about looking at the bright side of things/looking at life from a different perspective.
Duncan does not like bedtime, and he will do everything he can to not go to sleep. One day his mom gave him everything he could possibly need in his room to go to sleep. Duncan wasn't;t tired, so his mom told him to try counting sheep. To Duncan's surprise, he counted 1, and a sheep jumped right over his bed. Duncan counted all the way to 68, but sheep number 68 was hesitant to jump. Sheep number 68 asked for water, asked to go to the bathroom, wanted a stool, took his socks on and off and show more on again, and still had a hard time trying to jump. Duncan tried everything to help sheep number 68 over his bed. Finally he got over, and they all went to sleep. This book was funny because what Duncan's mom experienced with Duncan, was exactly was Duncan was experiencing with sheep number 68. In the end, Duncan was just like his mom and helped sheep number 68 find a way to get where he needed to be. This book. would be great from younger aged kids, because I'm sure many of them can relate to what Duncan experiences by not wanting to go to sleep. show less
