a little simplistic and repetitive but a great starting point with a few powerful reminders -
preparing to forgive (p. 78), blessings, consequences, enabling, and mercy

p. 96 the demands of forgiveness
Make no unreasonable demands of yourself: do not think you must feel good about the situation (feel what happened); do not place a demand on yourself to forget what happened (forgetting is not a choice we can make); do not feel obligated to deepen a relationship with the person who hurt you; do show more not try to do it on your own (God, friend, etc.); do not use the past offense as a lever over the perpetrator; do not be too hard on yourself; do not stay down show less
