Romance: A Slade Overload: An Erotic Romance Novella: sensory overload (The ultimate spicy romance short stories Book 1) by Emma Knight
I received a copy of “A Slade Overload: An Erotica Romance Novella” through a giveaway on LibraryThing and the following is my honest opinion.
Ms. Knight wasted no time in getting to her first erotic scene as it’s in the first paragraph of this story.
Slade is the kind of guy every woman fantasizes of having to fulfill her sexual desires to the nth degree, and Lexi is the woman who’s lucky to have him as her partner. Even though she has come to expect how satisfying her next encounter show more will be, Slade is full of surprises when it comes to giving his hot partner a new sexual experience, as can be seen in this first paragraph.
Besides the sexual scenes this story is loaded with emotions. While Ms. Knight is apparently a New York girl, this story is sprinkled with some British terminology, which doesn’t have any impact on the storyline itself.
For allowing me fantasize being Lexis, I giving the author’s endeavor here 5 STARS. show less

Romance: The Spanish Duque: A Contemporary Romance Novel (The ultimate spicy romance short stories Book 1) by Emma Knight
As a huge fan of vintage Harlequins, I enjoy stories of a dominant male finding his match. All the better if he is handsome and rich! I recall the stories of Betty Neels where the handsome doctor rescues the hard-working and often overlooked nurse, who is struggling to get by. He rescues her and takes her "home", frequently to an exotic locale with lovely food and staff in the home and every comfort of the time. Even more satisfying is when they realize they are a love match! With this show more story, I was hoping for just a bit "more" from the Spanish Duke. Although he is handsome and rich, I was just not sure what the attraction was between the 2 protagonists, other than instant lust. Hard to think about getting married in just 3 months especially when she was dating another boyfriend at the party where they met. But no matter as there were other characters in the book that really charmed me and gave the novella more substance such as the acknowledgement and instant friendship of the Duke's half sister. You can read a lot about a man in the treatment of his family and in this way, more depth about the Duke was revealed. Just wish the story was a bit more fleshed out about why these 2 married, what they have in common, used some more imaginative vocabulary and had more character growth and less sparring! But at least, in the end, we know that they are making an effort to have a love match and that their babies will have a loving home. show less
Romance: The Spanish Duque: A Contemporary Romance Novel (The ultimate spicy romance short stories Book 1) by Emma Knight
This novel could definitely benefit from a more thorough editing process - there were several missing or repeated words, spelling mistakes, and errors in punctuation. The story also felt superficial at times and could have been more fleshed out. That being said, however, it was still fairly interesting and had some redeeming qualities, such as the portrayal of the characters' emotions.
