Although I'd never heard of the actor-author, Tuppence Middleton (and that is her real name), before catching her book promotion/piece about living with OCD on The One Show, I was curious enough to buy the book and learn more.

And wow, OCD - or the internal scorpions of the title - is exhausting to read about, never mind experience every day! Routine I can get behind, and I know all about having an over active imagination, but the daily need to make everything 'safe' - leaving the house, show more getting on planes - by counting to 8 over and over again is a very unique and internal 'compulsion' that I'm glad I don't have.

Anyone who genuinely does have OCD should buy a copy of this book to throw at the people who make light of the illness!
