First off - length warning - this is a 778-page book. So many kinks - in some ways it makes it difficult for me to be fair as humiliation is a definite kink here and not one I like in any way. At the same time, this author somehow made it work. I think by inserting little bits and pieces where the omega states definite preferences and combining the humiliation with praise kink.
Characters are very much stereotypes. The Alphas are dominant with a capital D who get off on kink. The omega is a show more passive creature who thrives as a submissive even though he is successful in his own right. The world-building is limited in the broader sense but detailed within the pack hierarchy. The plot is interesting and a bit twisty.
There is a ton of sex scene details (remove 80% of them and you would reduce the book to a 300-pager). There is also a lot of day-to-day detail that could be reduced. show less

I can't really explain why I like this series. I don't know where to start. Chad is sweet and gruff, Evan finding his way makes me smile. Peter, ah Peter, nothing like a self aware asshole who loves his mates deeply. The willingness to fight and kill for them is strong.

I would love to recommend this series more. I was able to buy into this world and love every minute of it.

I finished this just because I hate not finishing a book but honestly it's just kinky porn with the flimsiest stroyline and the omega Peter just accepts everything. It got 3 stars because Safewords are discussed and used mostly.

A fun read about non-shifters who are alphas and they love their new man - alot!
