The author is a retired civil engineer who worked for the Provincial Government Roads Department. With this background he brings a wealth of experience from an engineering perspecive and an archival perspective. Despite some interesing technical detail, the sries themselves about each mountain pass, are fascinatng to read.
Was a bit disappointed. Felt graphics was some what lacking. Maybe more comparative tables?
