Zack Zombie

The third book in the series based on the popular Minecraft game, Zombie Steve is working as an architect for a new zombie colony. On his adventures, he builds a boat, encounters a squid, and ends up stranded on a supposedly deserted island. He uses skills from the Minecraft game to survive and return home. Written at a seventh grade level, the book uses slang (i.e. whatcha, wanna, gonna, etc.). There are also some grammatical mistakes, for example ‘he turn’ rather than ‘he turns’.

Minecraft is a game about placing blocks and going on adventures. This book written in diary forms follows the creation of a home, animals, and brief adventure where Alex needs to create tools and weapons. The book is illustrated with scenes from the Minecraft game. The book is written at a sixth grade level. It contains some fragmented and awkward sentences.

Based on the popular Minecraft game, this is the second books in Steve’s series. Once again, Alex continues his journey over a six-week period. The diary has illustrations from the game sprinkled throughout the book. This time he helps the villages, starts raising chickens and has to face a potential enemies. Written at a fifth grade level, there are some fragmented sentences and misuse of commas.
