Time's Unfading Garden: Anne Spencer's Life and Poetry by J. Lee Greene
A lovingly researched biography of a truly unusual and extraordinary woman. A fairly complete collection of her poetical work is appended along with literary analysis of same. I was delighted to learn Ms. Spencer's story and laughed aloud several times at her refreshing wit. It's truly a shame that so little of her unpublished work was preserved but I am thankful for what remains.
