- Paul A. Bennett (1897 – 1966) was an author and typographer. Bennett was Director of Typography for the Mergenthaler Linotype Company in the USA for 30 years before his retirement in 1962. He wrote several papers, monographs, and keepsakes for The Typophiles, and also Books and Printing (1951).

A very interesting read about a very interesting person. I enjoy recommendations of other books. This one points me in several directions.
John Archer was a respected leader in the book community in his work at the printing office of the New York Public Library. The constellation that we know as Sagittarius is also known as 'the Archer'. This collection was assembled by Paul Bennett.
