This book surprised me in ways I didn’t expect. It’s heartfelt and definitely carries emotional weight.

I loved Mercedes and Asher and the quiet way their relationship developed. The music, concerts, and travel all felt like a whirlwind in the best way. Lots of longing. Also, definite Asher Zaddy vibes ❤️

I really appreciated how disability was portrayed, both medically and emotionally, without being overdone. Mercedes’s mom also stood out to me in a big way. As a mom, I loved show more her.

The friendships felt realistic and messy in a very human way, and the fandom and concert parts were also really well done. It honestly threw me back to my early 20s. The buildup, the excitement, and that weird empty feeling after it’s all over felt extremely relatable if you’ve ever been deep in fandom or planned your life around concert tours.

I really enjoyed this one and I’m looking forward to the next book.
