This was absolutely chockablock full of practical information for people who desire to garden on their own terms in their own space. Anderson wrote common sense advice, regardless of who much space folks have to grow. Patio gardens, backyard container gardening, and small lot gardening are well-detailed with advice for all. Absolutely cannot say enough good things. Anderson's words have inspired me to start plotting out my garden for next spring, and it's only September!

An informative and thoughtful book. I learned a lot about how to start grow my own vegetables. I learned I can grow them in the winter, which is good. I love salad but it can be so expensive in the store. This will help with that. I have a quarter acre and I will be planting just as quick as I can. The carrots that are sweet like candy sound delicious. First thing I;m going to try. Then the tomatoes. Read this book if you want to start learning how to grow your own food.

This is a good introduction to homesteading. I would've liked more pictures, especially in the growing particular plants sections (like corn, watermelons, etc.).
